MSFS20/24 1500R Sport – v1.1.0 Now Available!

After a few weeks of reviewing feedback across posts, livestreams, videos, and more, the first update for the 1500R has arrived!

This update mainly focuses on quality of life improvements. To start with, I have gone through and rebalanced a good bit of the audio, as many environment and foley sounds were way too loud in relation to the combustion sounds. The engine should drown out a lot of that in reality. And while doing so, I also found and fixed some issues with precip sounds missing some setup, as well as rudder foley sounds not looping.

In 2024, preflight covers have also now been added for the Engine, Prop, and Static Ports. This also fixes the issue with the prop spinning and aircraft sometimes tipping over when spawning ‘On ground – Shut down’. Preflight pin locations were also fixed for the Ailerons, Rudder, Elevator, and Tailwheel. Additionally, for these added covers, the ‘Pitot Cover’ blueprint option has now been changed to toggle all preflight covers on or off.

Another area of improvement I noticed quite early on was the conflict between the seat to exit the aircraft and the elevator trim. This has now been fixed by adding a seatbelt model and making that the clickable to exit the aircraft. The trim clickspot has also been adjusted to make it a bit easier to use.

The flight model has been given some attention by Smitty as well, making control inputs less linear and overall more realistic.

• Added seatbelt and made it the exit aircraft clickable instead of the seat (no longer conflicts with trim).

• Adjusted interactive distance for preflight elements.
• Adjusted sounds: Lowered wind volume. Rebalanced levels of many switches, controls, and foley sounds. Fixed precip sounds not looping and not changing with various simvar rates. Fixed rudder movement sounds not looping.
• Adjusted VR Pilot Camera positioning and corrected category.
• Changed Pitot Cover Blueprint option to now add or remove all preflight covers.
• Fixed circuit causing autopilot key bindings to not work.
• Fixed fuel caps decal orientation.
• Fixed missing wheel water spray and prop vortex VFX.
• Fixed preflight pin locations for Ailerons, Rudder, Elevator, & Tailwheel.
• Fixed prop spinning and aircraft sometimes tipping over when spawning ‘On ground – Shut down’.
• Removed unnecessary ShadowCenter camera (Not used in 2024).
